Morgan & Alden's Summer Waterfront RCYC Wedding
Morgan and Alden are avid sailors, so it was only fitting that they chose the Iconic Royal Canadian Yacht Club on The Toronto Island for their wedding. They styled the perfectly preppy, classic, and elegant wedding for their day, with themes of royal blue and nautical symbols running throughout. Guests took the classic boat the K’wasind over to the island for the ceremony, and gathered on the lawn in front of the colonial style clubhouse with it’s sprawling patios before the ceremony.
Morgan and Alden chose the lawn in front of the RCYC clubhouse for their ceremony, and got married with the waves of lake Ontario lapping at their feet. It was a stunningly hot day, so we limited our time outdoors and took the majority of our photographs inside the beautiful building. Photo locations are plentiful at the RCYC, and we had so much fun working with the natural light coming in through the huge architectural windows. Their wedding party was the best group of badasses I met all summer, and absolutely nailed it when it was time for their ‘vogue posed’ wedding party shot. This shot is one for the books!
The day was filled with beautiful details like Morgan’s flowing Satin dress, Louboutin heels, and Alden’s classic style in a navy blue suit, but what you’ll be stuck by most is the huge smiles both of them sported all day long. By the time you get to the bottom of this post I guarantee you’ll have a huge crush on these two, especially after seeing the sunset portrait series we captured out on the dock where they danced, twirled, and waved to all the boats passing by!
Morgan and Alden, from the first time I met you both together for your engagement session with all the dogs at Cherry Beach, I knew that it was going to be SO much fun to work with you! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your day, and sending you all the love and hugs!
