WHAT TO EXPECT.

Before we get started, it is SO important to make sure we’re on the same page and a great fit together. You deserve an experience from me that is everything you could dream of,
and then some.

MY GOAL, FIRST AND FOREMOST,

IS TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FANTASTIC TIME.

Everyone shows up saying they feel ‘awkward’ to start with. Everyone. But I promise it won’t stay that way. You will never hear me ask you to fake laugh, whisper cheesy affirmations in each other’s ears, or stand in a line and clink glasses repeatedly. That kind of stuff IS awkward.

I DO THINGS A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY,

BECAUSE IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY.

As soon as we get together, we get moving. No stiff prom poses, just lots of laughter and playing instead. You will quickly start to unlearn everything that school picture day taught you *shiver*, and to understand that our portraits together aren’t always about looking perfectly posed, or making sure your dress is completely flat all the time. Before you know it you’ll have fallen back into your comfortable rhythms together and will love the photographs we get to create from there.

I promise to direct you as necessary and guide you through our photographs

without turning you into statues.

I promise you will never have to ‘turn a little to the right’.

I promise you will get to feel and experience your wedding day fully,
just sit back, enjoy, and allow me to capture it.

The Approach

Chances are you’re feeling pretty new to this whole wedding planning thing, and that’s completely okay. You don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing, because I’ll be there to guide you, prompt you, and provide you with all the information you need along the way. You’ll receive emails with reminders and additional information throughout our time working together, so you’ll never feel unsure about what our next step is. I’ve got this. Between myself and my assistant, we’re prompt on email replies, will never leave you hanging, and will always let you know if we need more time to work on an answer. Communication throughout the planning process is key.

Your Wedding Day

I’m always relaxed, and am perpetually smiling. We’ll get to know one another well before your wedding, so you can feel natural and comfortable together all day long. I’ll be there reminding you that we have plenty of time if you’re feeling anxious, re-filling your glasses to celebrate that ‘just married feeling’ after your ceremony, and making sure we choose a ‘grandparent friendly’ photo location so your family photo session is easy and goes off without a hitch. I will probably tear up just a little bit at your dad’s speech too if we’re being honest here.

After The Wedding

Once the glitter has settled, but while your feet are still aching from your epic dance floor party, my team gets to work quickly and efficiently. You’ll wake up dying to see photographs, so sneak peeks will land in your inbox almost immediately. Your full gallery of photos will be ready in super speedy fashion, around 6 weeks tops. From there, we continue to keep things easy by creating an awesome online portal for you to use. This is where we design your albums, share photographs with family and friends, download copies before your final package arrives, and easily shop other prints and products like thank you cards.

Communication, connection, and trust are a huge part of the experience. This is how & where the magic happens, so I can capture images that are truly you.

Loving your photographer is a huge part of feeling comfortable in front of the camera, having a good experience, and creating photographs you will enjoy forever. So do your best to choose a wedding photographer whose work AND personality you adore!
