Stacey & Mark’s Intimate Terroni Restaurant Wedding Photographs
Stacey & Mark hosted their intimate wedding at Toronto’s Terroni Restaurant. They knew what they wanted from the start, an intimate celebration with their closest family and friends, great food for their guests, no details to fuss about, and a collection of happy, candid, and bright wedding photographs they could enjoy for a lifetime together.
I first met these two for their engagement session with their son Elliot at The Harbourfront Center on Toronto’s waterfront, and immediately knew I was going to love capturing their wedding photographs. The pair are endlessly cheerful and positive, focused whole-heartedly on their friends and family, and were simply beyond excited for their wedding already!
I met Stacey and Mark at their condo in downtown Toronto, where they were getting ready separately with their wedding party. They exchanged sweet letters and took their time savoring the morning with their friends, before heading to their sweet first look in the courtyard, while friends and family looked on from the surrounding balconies.
Stacey’s bridal style was simple, classic, and perfect for her elegant aesthetic. She wore a simple slip dress, minimal makeup, and had her hair pulled back in a simple low chignon bun the completed the look perfectly. Mark looked the classically handsome groom in a dark navy suit, cognac leather shoes, and a fresh and light green and white boutonniere pinned over his heart. As soon as you see these two together with their beautiful style and big smiles I guarantee you’ll fall in love with them! I felt like the luckiest wedding photographer in Toronto all day getting to shoot with this happy couple. :)
They had a sweet and simple ceremony at the restaurant. Family looked on from their tables, and Mark helped create one of my favourite candid wedding photographs ever when he winked at Stacey after their vows had been shared (scroll down, can you find it? I love it!). Immediately after sealing their vows with a kiss, the newlyweds headed up to Terroni’s rooftop patio, overlooking the Toronto skyline, and settled in to enjoy a celebratory glass of champagne together while I captured candid wedding day portraits of the bride and groom from the sidelines. If you haven’t considered the possibility of slipping away for a private glass of champagne together on your wedding day, I highly recommend it! These always end up being some of the happiest and most relaxed wedding photographs, AND it’s the perfect opportunity to slow down and revel in that ‘just married’ feeling for a few minutes on your wedding day. :)
The evening ended with the couple and their guests enjoying a delicious Italian wedding meal, catered of course by the fabulous Terroni restaurant. Speeches were made, tears were shed, wine and food were enjoyed, and Stacey had the group in stitches as she recounted the story of her and Mark’s courtship. We headed outside to take a few final bride and groom portraits at sunset on the streets of Toronto, and some of my favourite wedding photographs were created when Mark shared his suit jacket with Stacey to see her through our photo session. I adored everything about the day and Stacey and Mark created together, and I can’t wait for you to scroll through and see their gallery.
