Michelle and Ben’s wedding put a smile on my face for weeks after getting to spend the day photographing it with them!  These two are so genuine, fun, and full of love it’s impossible not to adore them after spending just a few minutes together!

Their fairy tale wedding took place at Windermere House in Muskoka, one of the most beautiful lakeside venues I’ve ever visited.  The country club aesthetic includes classic white buildings overlooking lake Rosseau, tennis courts, cute log cabins, and the most gorgeous bridal suite with a huge balcony terrace overlooking the lawn and lake.  Michelle and Ben shared so many beautiful moments with friends and family throughout the day, I don’t even know where to begin!  From exchanging meaningful gifts with the people closest to them, sharing, smiles, tears, and hugs, with almost every single one of their guests, and listening to some of the best musical performances and speeches I’ve ever seen at a wedding, this day was an absolute mecca for this candid moment loving wedding photographer!

Michelle opted for the most beautiful Blush by Haley Page gown, that perfectly complimented her gorgeous blonde Hollywood wave curls.  Ben wowed this season’s groom style by opting for a classic black suite and bow tie (my favourite combination) and added a bit of his personal edge to it with a pair of black combat style boots, made wedding elegant and perfectly styled.  From their emotional first look on the dock, to their perfect wedding party photographs along the edge of the lake, I could have photographed this crew forever!

Their ceremony happened on the lawn overlooking the lake, and featured a gorgeous arch made entirely of forest greenery and mosses.  If you can’t decide on florals for an arch you can’t go wrong with greenery!  The ceremony led right into a gorgeous garden party style cocktail hour, with guest sipping bubbly, enjoying fresh seafood and basking in the sun out on the lawn. 

Their reception décor was unbelievably creative and so perfectly ‘them’.  Place settings were tied with sprigs of local greenery, tall candles and florals graced every table, and the table numbers were labelled on records, perfectly tying in the couple’s role in the Toronto music industry together.  Guests enjoyed a gorgeous meal, the champagne flowed, and the speeches their friends and family gave held everyone’s attention rapt through dinner.  By the time I left the dance floor was kicking off into what I’m sure was one of the most epic wedding parties of the summer!

Michelle and Ben, I would do this again every weekend for as long as I live if it meant getting to work with such sweet and fun people as you two!  Wishing you both all the best. 
