Andrea and Miles hosted the sweetest intimate wedding at The Jam Factory, one of Toronto’s best industrial chic venues downtown in the east end.  They got ready separately, and opted for a private first look in front of The East Room and photographs in the nearby park with their friends and family, before heading inside for their ceremony.

Andrea and Miles created much of the décor themselves, which included a beautiful ceremony set-up with floral filled gold hoops strung from the ceiling, and twinkle lights climbing the pillars of the venue.  The space felt magical, like something from a fairy tale, as the sun set and the room was illuminated by twinkle lights and candles.  Their ceremony had everybody in tears as Miles watched his bride walk down the aisle towards him.  As I looked around me for candid photo opportunities during the ceremony, I noticed both of their parents sat and looked on with tears streaming down their faces at the palpable happiness radiating from these two to be getting married. 

My favourite moment came after the ceremony, when Miles and Andrea escaped down the back staircase of the venue with fresh glasses of bubbly to take a moment to celebrate and soak it all in together that they were just married.  I always love this moment at weddings when couples get a moment to themselves to reflect on the momentous occasion in their lives, it always creates some of the best candid moments to photograph!

Their reception was set up with casual spaces to sit arranged around the room, and food stations with a variety of delicious options set up in every corner of the space.  Guests milled about, ate their fill, and settled in to visit with one another at tables, sofa’s, and risers as the lights dimmed and the evening’s speeches and dances began.  Andrea and Miles’s casual warmth and happiness permeated the evening, and it was such a pleasure to capture all the smiles and laughter that their loved ones brought to The Jam Factory!
