A Guide to Printing Your Wedding Photographs
Now that you’ve received your final gallery of wedding photographs, it’s time to decide how you would like to print them! Printing your wedding photographs is a vitally important step in your process, and one that often gets forgotten or put on hold after your wedding is over and life goes back to normal again. Don’t forget to print! On behalf of all wedding photographers, I implore you to go through this process with your own photographer, and make sure that your photographs are safely printed and preserved so that you will have them to enjoy for a lifetime together!
Personally, all of my photography packages come with a photo album automatically included in the package. My goal is to make sure that every couple received a printed and bound copy of their favourite photographs and memories, safely preserved in a format that they will love, display, and look through together for years to come. For couples who are on the same page as me, and absolutely want to enjoy printed copies of their photographs, I offer a range of album upgrades and other printed products to choose from.
My goal is to make quality, lasting, and beautiful printed products easily available to all of my couples. I offer consultations to decide what products are best for you, and make the design and printing process efficient, fun, and easy. You can easily print your own pieces through your online gallery, OR get me to design products for you. Either way it’s SO easy, so schedule in this quick task and before you know it you will have beautiful printed copies of your favourite wedding photographs that you will be able to enjoy for a lifetime!
From beautiful fine art albums, to stunning print sets enclosed in engraved glass boxes, there are many beautiful options to choose from. If you’re having a hard time deciding, scroll through the blog post below to read more about some of the most popular products I offer.

The Handmade Paper Print
This is a once in a lifetime print that fits your once in a lifetime moment. Available exclusively through the print lab I have partnered with, handmade paper prints are truly an unparalleled option to display your absolute favourite wedding photographs. These prints are perfect if you want to select just a few of your favourite wedding photographs to print, frame, and hang in your home. They’re absolutely gorgeous when mounted in a floating frame, and look beautiful incorporated into a gallery wall, or as a triple set of prints hanging above your bed.
Don’t feel like you need to be a design pro to choose this option to decorate your home though. I always offer custom consultations for couples who want to order one or more prints on hand made paper, and together we make sure to consider design elements such as colour matching, size, and framing style to create the perfect piece of art for your home.
Print Specs:
- Sizes starting at 6x8
- Sizes available up to 22x30
- Available framed or unframed
- A beautiful range of frame options are available upon request
The Boxed Print Set
There’s nothing quite like leafing through a set of loose prints. Think back to a fond memory you have of looking through a box of loose prints collected by your mother, or grandfather. Remember how wonderful that was? The conversations and stories that sparked together? The things you learned about your family and history that are part of your identity now? Not to be too dramatic about this, but this is something we don’t do often enough anymore. Looking through photographs on your digital device just isn’t the same. So, why not start your own collection of family prints now, with your wedding photographs?
These stunning print sets are printed on traditional, archival photo paper. They have a gorgeous, glossy, smooth finish, and a traditional thin white border to frame every photograph. Choose from a variety of customizable boxes to store your photographs, including natural linen boxes, elegant gold and brass boxes, and soft leather portfolios with an old-school charm. All boxes include a custom engraving on the front.
Print Specs:
- 5x7 prints
- Glossy, archival prints with a white border
- Linen, glass, or leather box options available
- Custom embossing on the box of your choice
These box sets are a great way to print some additional photographs that didn’t make it into your album, start a long term printing project to document important moments in your life, OR gift to important family members and friends who were a part of your day. Personally, I don’t think there’s a better mothers’ day present than a beautiful box with your mother-daughter wedding day photographs, AND it’s something you can contribute more prints to for every special occasion.
No matter how you choose to print your photographs, I guarantee that you will not regret printing them. Your digital galleries are only available for a limited amount of time, and over time you will rarely even find yourself looking through your online gallery. You will however sit down to leaf through your album or print set together for years, sharing it with future generations friends and family. Guests will see your stunning wedding portraits framed on your gallery wall, friends will ask to see wedding photographs when they’re visiting and you’ll pull out your box of prints, or every year on your anniversary you can simply pour a glass of wine together and sit down to look through your wedding album. You will never regret printing and preserving these important memories, and I promise it is such a small investment of time and money for something you will love for a lifetime together.
