Tiff & Jeff’s Toronto Wedding at The Manor By Peter and Pauls
Tiff & Jeff hosted a love and laughter filled summer wedding at their homes in North York, their Chinese Community Church, and The Dunlap Observatory, and The Manor by Peter and Pauls. It’s always so much fun getting to travel and shoot at a variety of different locations on a wedding day, and their beautiful and creative wedding photography gallery has so much variety and life as a result!
They each got ready at their family homes, surrounded by their friends, family, and loved ones. Tiff wore the most striking wedding gown, with delicate embroidered round pearls accenting the shoulders and waist, and a pair of minimal gold Jimmy Choo shoes to finish her bridal style. The sequence of photographs of her mom helping her into the dress and detail accessories is one of my favourites!
We started the day with wedding photos at the Dunlap Observatory. Tiff and Jeff had their first look in front of the old stone building, and we took a beautiful set of photographs with their family and wedding party posing naturally on the sandstone steps, and in the courtyard of the building, looking like they’re straight out of an old world European bridal styled shoot! The bridesmaids wore long, soft pink dresses and carried summer bouquets with beautiful ranunculus flowers. The groomsmen looked light and summery in soft grey suits with light pink ties. The whole wedding party looked fantastic together, and they made our photo session so much fun, posing, laughing, and generally being a wonderful group to capture some fun and candid wedding party photographs!
The next part of the day brought us back home for the bride and groom to host their Chinese tea ceremonies for their family. Tiff changed into an elegant and traditional red Chinese dress, and they served tea, exchanged gifts, and hugged their family tightly before heading to the church for their ceremony. They were married under a beautiful light and summery arch, in the bright and airy church with sunlight streaming in through the big windows. They sang, smiled, and exchanged heartfelt vows together before racing back up the aisle in complete joy to hug their loved ones.
To finish their wedding day, we headed to The Manor by Peter and Pauls, one of the most beautiful wedding banquet halls set on a lake just outside of the city. They had their first dance in front of the large industrial windows of their reception space, laughed their way through speeches and the lively games played by the groomsmen (complete with a ‘spiderman style’ kiss between the bride and groom, you have to scroll down to see that one!), and eventually headed out for a beautiful set of wedding photos at sunset, while their wedding party prepared a surprise performance inside for them!
If you get all the way to the bottom, you can’t help but smile looking at the photographs of Tiff and Jeff’s wedding party, performing the tale of their love story for them, complete with their faces blown up on giant posters to play the roles. Tiff and Jeff were so effortlessly relaxed and joyful all day, it was such a treat to spend the day with them and capture their wedding photographs. I hope you enjoy this gallery as much as I do, and get excited about your own sunset portrait session on your wedding day after seeing how beautifully these photographs turned out!
